The Fun Japanese Restaurant in Western Australia

"Now under new management and a new name (previously called Swan Sushi). Went with friends to try it out. Sadly, no bento options were available during dinner time. The menu feels more family-oriented, and while the food was good, there wasn’t a real “wow” factor for me personally. The place isn’t very big, so it’s best to make a reservation if you’re going during dinner hours."

"It’s new restaurant. Beautiful plating for sashimi. We pick some special menu from blackboard. Chawan mushi is so impressive. Prawn flavour was so much and delicious. Chawan mushi is my favourite dish since I lived in my home country Japan. But this is the best one I had. It’s seasonal menu but must try."

"I'm glad I discovered this restaurant! Like other reviews mentioned, the restaurant is small and cozy, but I felt there was still enough space between tables for me to enjoy the food quietly. The regular menu is pretty standard, but the highlight was the daily special menu. It has dishes you don't usually find in Japanese restaurants in Perth but rather more commonly found in Japanese restaurants in Asian countries that don't have a westernised menu. I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes."

"That’s so yum They make sushi rice (sumeshi) is perfect. Many fresh salmon and tibikko on top. Wasabi is not paste one. They use white ginger, nice choice. Overall, this restaurant food is so fresh and great. Thanks!! 100% I’ll be back."

"A small, cosy, and absolutely charming Japanese restaurant. The fresh blue mackerel was incredibly fresh and full of flavour, and the monkfish liver was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it such a lovely place to dine. You can really feel the care and passion behind each dish. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!"

"Absolutely amazing sashimi box! The seafood was incredibly fresh and high quality — you can really taste the difference. The uni was rich and creamy, the prawns were sweet, and the salmon had the perfect balance of freshness and fat. Everything was beautifully presented and packed with so much care. Perfect for sharing or as a special treat. You can tell the team truly cares about quality and detail. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!"

"Friendly and helpful staff. I ordered Salmon, white fish, sweet shrimp, surf clam, sea urchin, and abalone. The salmon, sweet shrimp, and abalone were excellent — 5 out of 5. The white fish, surf clam, and sea urchin were decent, but didn’t quite meet expectations. The food overall was good, and the interior had a very street-food-inspired atmosphere."
